Wooden Easter Eggs - Set of 6

A Symbol of Christs Resurrection

CHRIST IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD - GRANTING LIFE TO THOSE IN THE TOMBS!

These colorful wood eggs have been hand painted in the Ukraine with traditional folk and religious symbols and designs passed down through generations. Bring a fresh, vibrant look to your Easter and springtime decorations with these symbolic eggs.

The egg is an ancient symbol of new life and rebirth spanning many religions and cultures. To the ancients, the egg embodied great power to bring new life and joy. The Ukrainian people in pagan times decorated eggs to commemorate their Slavic gods and to celebrate the suns arrival at the coming of spring.

The Christian Church adopted the egg as a symbol of Christs Resurrection. St. Augustine first described Christs Resurrection from the dead as a chick bursting from an egg. Today, these eggs remind us of the gift of life in Christ. These eggs will display beautifully in a decorative bowl, tablescape, and Easter baskets. Start a new tradition and share the true Easter story.
