The symbolic Claddagh ring became a traditional Irish wedding ring in the 17th Century, its symbols representing love, loyalty, and friendship. Two hands embrace one heart, adorned with a crown, to represent the pure bond of a cherished relationship. The centerpiece of this sterling silver ring is a heart made of Connemara marble, known as Irelands gemstone. The authentic Connemara marble comes from the Joyce family mine in Connemara, County Galway. The highly polished, woven band calls to mind the Holy Trinity and the Celtic knots so symbolic in Irish culture. Handcrafted by artisans in Ireland, this piece has been Irish hallmarked in Dublin Castle. A distinctive gift for a sweetheart or a dear friend, the Claddagh is a symbol of eternal devotion.
