Description:

PLEASE NOTE: ANY ORDERS AFTER MARCH 5TH WILL NOT BE DELIVERED IN TIME FOR EASTER SUNDAY

The Luke 24 Paschal candle, a distinguished part of the Eximious collection by Cathedral Candle Company, brings the Gospel narrative of Easter morning directly into your sanctuary. This Paschal candle displays a grounding, earthy aesthetic and profound theological messaging, making it a stunning yet meaningful part of your Churchs celebrations.

The central artwork features a cross draped with a burial shroud, symbolizing the Resurrection. It is flanked by the Chi Rho (a monogram for Christ) and the Alpha and Omega, asserting His eternal dominion.

At the base of the candle, you will find the challenging and triumphant words of Luke 24:5, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?" This powerful phrase reminds the congregation that Christ is not bound by the grave.

While many Paschal candles in the Eximious Collection feature bright primaries or regal metallics, the Luke 24 design instead leans toward humble, traditional shades of brown. The intricate wax elements are highlighted in genuine copper leaf and burnished with a bronze wash. This technique gives the candle a warm appearance that evokes antiquity and reverence.
