Description:

Hindu Goddess Saraswati | Hand-Painted in Traditional Karma Gadri Style

The hand-painted thangka of Hindu Goddess Saraswati is a celebration of knowledge, music, and artistic expression. Crafted in the traditional Karma Gadri style, it features intricate details of her ornaments, robes, and divine aura. Genuine 24K gold highlights the details, while mineral-based pigments ensure vibrancy. The soft texture of the canvas enhances the artwork's depth and luminosity. Saraswati, revered as the Goddess of Learning and the Bestower of Wisdom, is an ideal addition to meditation spaces, study rooms, and sacred altars.

Saraswati, a Hindu goddess, is depicted in her traditional iconography as seated on a lotus throne, symbolizing purity, enlightenment, and transcendence of material ignorance. She wears an ornate five-jeweled crown, tied in a topknot, representing her spiritual status. Her body is adorned with a delicate floral garland, symbolizing beauty and wisdom. Her lower garments are made of multicolored silk, representing the interconnectedness of knowledge. Her most defining attribute is the veena, a musical instrument made of lapis lazuli, symbolizing the harmony between intellect and creativity. The instrument's head is carved into the shape of a mythical serpent, reflecting the divine energy and transformative power of sound. Saraswati's serene expression and forward posture suggest her active engagement in guiding those seeking wisdom, music, and scholarly pursuits.
