Description:

Hand-painted Healing Blue Buddha Art with 24K Gold Accents

A beautiful depiction of the Medicine Buddha, the Healing Blue Buddha Thangka is hand-painted on cotton canvas using real 24K gold and natural stone hues. The rich, deep blue of lapis lazuli, a stone known for its intense colour and spiritual significance, is used in this thangka, painted in the traditional Karma Gadri style. It conveys the Buddha's calm and healing essence. With each brushstroke and detail highlighted by the luminous glitter of gold, the viewer is transported to a state of peace and awe.

Medicine Buddha is depicted with a body richly painted in Lapis Lazuli Blue, symbolizing deep healing and tranquility. This particular hue not only emphasizes his affinity for the spiritual side of healing but also denotes the breadth of his wisdom. A myrobalan plant, which is well-known for its potent healing qualities in both Ayurvedic and Tibetan medicine, is seen in his hand. Highlighting his function as a healer and disease-preventive, his left hand tenderly holds a monk's bowl filled with myrobalan fruit. Using particular symbols such as the monk's bowl and the myrobalan plant, this visual depiction of the Medicine Buddha highlights his core teachings on spiritual and physical well-being.

The Medicine Buddha, also called Bhaisajyaguru, is a highly esteemed figure in Mahayana Buddhism who is committed to eliminating psychological as well as physical suffering. He is frequently called upon in Buddhist ceremonies and meditation exercises because of his ability to cure and purify illnesses and to offer his healing, protective grace to all living things.
