About Our Ritual Item :

The Handmade Tibetan Skull Cup (Kapala) is a key ritualistic object in Tibetan Buddhism, symbolizing metamorphosis and the impermanence of existence. This magnificent piece has superb workmanship and a copper body and is beautifully created with accents of crystal to accentuate its beauty further. An electro-silver plating adds even more richness to the cup, giving it a dazzling, reflecting surface that elevates the object's sense of holiness and elegance. This 26.5-cm-tall kapala is a potent symbol of spiritual devotion frequently used as a vase for offerings in tantric rituals and meditation exercises.

In addition to serving a spiritual purpose, this skull cup is an exquisite example of workmanship that combines artistic talent with profound cultural significance. It is a remarkable addition to any collection of holy art or distinctive home dcor because of the harmonic fusion of copper, crystal, and silver. This kapala is a significant and potent object of thought since it prompts a deep connection to Tibetan traditions and serves as a reminder of life's cyclical nature, whether it is utilized in ritual or exhibited as a centerpiece.

Introduction To The Kapala Set :

The skull cup, known as Kapala in Sanskrit, is fashioned from the oval upper section of a human cranium. It serves as a libation vessel for a vast number of Vajrayana deities, mostly wrathful. As a ritual implement, the selection of the right skull is of immense importance for the success of the ritual. In Tibetan Buddhism, the Kapala or Skull Bowl is used ritually in a number of ways. For example, the Lama may use it as an offering bowl on the altar, filled with wine or blood as a gift to the Yidam Deity or all the Deities in the Mandala. Through the force of the practice of tantric visualizations based in deep philosophical study and meditation, a sort of transubstantiation will occur, and the wine or blood will be transformed into the Wisdom Nectar, a liquid form of the Enlightened Mind of the Deity or all of the Deities in the Celestial Palace of the Mandala.
