Description:

"Dear Mother" is a beautiful clothbound book that empathizes with Muslim mothers who are nurturing their families within a faith framework. The book contains a collection of fictional letters written from the heart, exploring the great challenges and responsibilities, hopes and disappointments that come with motherhood. These letters offer candid exchanges from one mother to another, gently replacing doubts and insecurities with understanding and support.

Through this collection of letters, mothers of all ages and backgrounds are brought together to share their experiences. Each letter offers unique angles, perspectives, stories, and advice about different aspects of motherhood. As one mother prepares for a newborn, another shares her experience as a single parent. The book also explores why a mother at the primary school gate may feel burnt out by 9 am and what advice a grandmother may pass down to her granddaughter.

Whether a mother is sitting in the ante-natal clinic, on a bus, or in the masjid, these letters reveal a variety of mothers' inner dialogue that is rarely heard in society. The conversations are real, raw, and heartfelt, making it a perfect companion for Muslim mothers everywhere. It's a must-read book for Muslim women of all walks of life and across generations, whether they are mothers or not, as there are many struggles and joys of being a Muslim woman illustrated throughout that we can all relate to.
