We designed this gift box to be a profound yet practical resource for young men and women who have just received the sacrament of Confirmation. It will help them recognize their role in the Church, foster their relationship with the Holy Spirit, and encourage their faith journey.

An explanation card introduces young men and women to the pieces they'll find inside their box:

You have just taken an important step, and are now an adult in the eyes of the Church. When the Holy Spirit prayed over and anointed you through the hands of the celebrant, you received a powerful Consoler and Director. This special box will help you take advantage of these realities and graces, and aid you as your journey of life and faith continues. May you be richly blessed with the grace and strength of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

What's in Your Box?

1. Comforting palm cross - Hold the cross so it rests comfortably in the palm of your hand as a reminder of Gods love for you. Keep it handy throughout the day for when you need to pray for faith and strength.

2. Confirmation Book - A solid foundation on which you can build a life of prayer and virtue. Read reflections on influential Gospel passages, collections of prayers, and Church teachings related to Confirmation and Catholic living.

3. Decade Rosary - Use the one decade rosary to pray daily for all the intentions in your heart. Pray the Our Father on the large bead. Then pray ten Hail Marys on the ten small beads. Finish with the Glory Be.

The thoughtful prayer card reads: "Spirit of God, grant me: The gift of wisdom To see the world through your eyes, The gift of counsel To make difficult decisions, The gifts of knowledge and understanding To use my mind to know you and to love you, The gift of fortitude To have the courage to live in the faith Despite the difficulties and disappointments, The gift of piety To be able to express my special love And commitment to you, And the right kind of awesome fear That makes me pause to wonder and revere Gods Love. Amen."
