About Our Product

This Buddhist Deity Tsongkhapa Statue is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist sculpture crafted from an oxidized copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic color work. Measuring 23 cm in height, 14.5 cm in length, and 10.5 cm in width, with a weight of 1.33 kg, this statue represents Je Tsongkhapa, the great Tibetan Buddhist master, scholar, and founder of the Gelug tradition. Designed for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, study areas, and spiritual collections, it reflects the devotion and refined artistry of Himalayan craftsmanship.

The statue depicts Tsongkhapa seated peacefully on a lotus throne, wearing the distinctive pointed yellow hat of the Gelug tradition. His hands are held in the teaching mudra, with the stems of lotus flowers rising beside his shoulders, supporting the sword of wisdom and the Prajnaparamita scripture. These sacred attributes symbolize the cutting through of ignorance and the perfection of enlightened knowledge. His serene expression, monastic robes, detailed ornaments, and combination of gold plating with oxidized copper finishing highlight the traditional iconography of this revered master.

In Tibetan Buddhism, Je Tsongkhapa is honored as an embodiment of wisdom, ethical discipline, and profound understanding of the Dharma. His teachings emphasize the union of study, meditation, and compassionate practice. Displayed in a shrine room, meditation area, or sacred collection, this Tsongkhapa statue serves as a meaningful reminder of wisdom, spiritual discipline, devotion, and the continuous pursuit of enlightenment.

Introduction To Tsongkhapa:

Great Tibetan Buddhist Master Je Tsongkhapa, whose given name was Losang Dragpa, flourished in the 14th century and advanced the Kadampa school of Buddhism that Atisha had founded three centuries before. He was anticipated by the Buddha before he arrived in Tibet. He meticulously taught the Tibetans all they needed to know about spiritual growth, from the initial step of beginning a spiritual practice to the final achievement of Buddhahood. During this golden period of Tibet, Je Tsongkhapa set the bar for moral purity, a loving way of life, and profound, liberating insight, inspiring thousands of Tibetans.
