Description:

While smaller devotional candles light the corners of homes and chapels for private prayer, the Paschal candle stands as the central, living flame of the entire Church. The Lilium Paschal Candle, part of the luxury Eximious collection by Cathedral Candle Company, is designed to illuminate the hearts of your parish and become a focal point for communal worship.

The term Lilium is taken from the Latin for Lily and represented by an intricate fleur-de-lis cross. Exquisitely adorned in royal blue with genuine gold leaf accents, this imagery is an ancient and regal symbol of the Holy Trinity. This Lilium candle reminds the faithful of the glorious divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in one unified emblem.

The top ornamental band also includes a symbolic depiction of bees in reference to the Exsultet (the Easter Proclamation) sung during the Vigil. This proclamation praises the "work of the bees" in creating the wax that feeds the holy flame.

Every Paschal and devotional candle in the Eximious Collection is individually handcrafted by Cathedral Candle Company, including these Lilium Paschal devotional candles. Since each candle is made to order, please expect 2-3 weeks for delivery. You will not be disappointed! These Lilium Paschal candles are a unique work of art and a truly majestic celebration of the Resurrection.
