The Home Blessing of St. Benedict (auto version) is a new and unique way to benefit from the sacramental use of the St. Benedict medal that can be displayed just about anywhere, especially made for use in the car. Saint Benedict was a great saint known for his power over evil spirits. Tradition holds that Saint Benedict escaped nefarious attempts made on his life. These and other miracles were frequent in the life of St. Benedict. He was especially aware of the devil's schemes, thus the St. Benedict medal is the most indulgenced Catholic saint medal with several exorcism prayers associated with it. Because of this, St. Benedict medals have become popular among Catholic faithful.

This Home Blessing of St. Benedict sacramental features St. Benedict medals of various sizes decoratively displayed with knotted nylon cords and crystal-like beads that catch the light, making it perfect for hanging in your car or any other convenient place. The purpose of using the St. Benedict medal is to call down God's blessing and protection upon us, wherever we are, and upon our homes and belongings, through the intercession of Saint Benedict. Sacramentals used in this way become a silent prayer and a reminder of our life in Christ. The St. Benedict medal has several prayers associated with it as identified by the acronyms on the front and back of the medal. These are an exorcism prayer, a prayer against temptation, a prayer for a peaceful death in the Lord, a prayer for individual and world peace, a prayer that the Cross of Christ will be our light and guide, a prayer of rejection of all evil, a prayer of petition that we may with Christian courage "walk in God's ways, with the Gospel as our guide," as St. Benedict admonishes us.
