This lovely set of two intaglios is featured in a hinged, clear glass frame with brilliant gold accents. The intaglio is an ancient form of art where an image is incised or carved into a surface, creating a delicate relief. The word "intaglio" comes from the Italian, "to incise or carve" and this art form is a means of beautifully sculpting tiny images or similarly, imprinting them.

This set of the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts is pure white, delicate and distinctive. It makes a lovely gift for any Catholic and a beautiful accent for your home or any space. Made in the USA.
